Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Service Description
Solar Technical Support provides independent remote technical troubleshooting, monitoring diagnostics, commissioning assistance, and documentation support for solar energy systems. Our services consist of remote assessment, guided troubleshooting, and documented findings. We do not perform physical inspection, repair, or installation work.
2. Independent Provider
Solar Technical Support is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any equipment manufacturer unless separately and explicitly confirmed in writing. Manufacturer names referenced on our website are for identification of equipment types we support, not to imply affiliation.
3. Technical Guidance Only
All support provided by Solar Technical Support is technical guidance only. Field personnel must be qualified and appropriately licensed to perform any physical work. All safety protocols, code compliance, and on-site decisions are the sole responsibility of the on-site technician or customer.
Solar Technical Support does not perform licensed electrical or contracting work. Our guidance does not constitute engineering, electrical, or construction advice requiring professional licensure unless separately arranged and confirmed.
4. No Guaranteed Outcomes
We do not guarantee repairs, guaranteed production recovery, or specific savings. Our services help you assess issues, organize troubleshooting, and plan next steps. The outcome of any technical issue depends on factors beyond our remote assessment, including on-site conditions, equipment condition, and actions taken by your field team.
5. Engagement Terms
Each support engagement is defined by its agreed scope, including:
- Session duration and time allowance
- What counts toward usage
- Included follow-up and response windows
- Unused-hour treatment (for prepaid options)
- Additional-work approval process
- Any after-hours charges, if applicable
Specific terms for each engagement are confirmed before work begins. We differentiate between acknowledgment time (when we respond to your request) and diagnosis or resolution time (when the issue is assessed).
6. Availability
Support availability is confirmed at the time of engagement scheduling. We do not promise 24/7 service, instant availability, a dedicated engineer, or a dedicated account manager unless those resources are specifically confirmed for your engagement.
7. Payment
Payment terms are defined per engagement or support option. Initial diagnostic sessions are paid engagements. Prepaid hour blocks and monthly retainers have defined terms including expiration and overage rates. All pricing is confirmed before work begins.
8. Limitation of Liability
Solar Technical Support is not liable for outcomes resulting from on-site actions, equipment failures, or decisions made by your field team based on our guidance. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement in question.
9. Website Use
Content on this website is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute technical instruction for unqualified individuals and should not be used as a substitute for qualified professional services.
